The Most Common Myth I Hear from my Clients

If I had a dollar for every time a client told me, “I’m awkward in front of the camera,” or “I’m not photogenic” - I could probably buy myself a new camera! Almost every person who steps in front of my camera worries that they’ll be stiff or awkward. But here’s the thing - Looking natural and comfortable in photos isn’t something you have to know how to do. It’s a process, and it’s my job to guide you through it. As a family photographer, my job is to create an experience that brings out authentic personalities and genuine connection. With gentle direction, natural interaction prompts, flattering angels and knowledge of using the available light - you just need to show up, be yourself, and I take care of the rest!

It happens so often. By the end of every session, clients who were convinced they’d look awkward leave looking far more relaxed and often say “Wait, that was actually fun!” and that is honestly the BEST compliment!

And when my clients view their final images, my hope is that they LOVE them, and that I’ve been able to dispel the myth that they were telling themselves. You were never “awkward” or “not photogenic” - you just needed the right guidance, the right environment, and the right photographer to show you what was already there.
