Hi!
I’m Dana - the one behind the lens at Defining Moments Photography. For nearly 10 years
I was a portrait photographer based in Guelph, Ontario … however, as of September 2020, I returned to my hometown roots and now proudly serve Owen Sound, ON and the surrounding areas!

For as long as I can remember, I have had a love for photography. As a child, I enjoyed looking through old family photo albums, and at the age of 7, I was gifted my very first (film) camera. Photography has always been a hobby, but in 2010 after the birth of my second child, I took the leap and turned that passion into a business.

As a mother of three kids (now teens!), I fully understand how fleeting the ages and stages of childhood (and parenthood) really are! Personalities and features continue to grow and change, and I am passionate about documenting it all through my lens! Over the past 15 years, it has been an immense honour to be able to capture these precious moments and details for my clients as well!

It has been genuinely rewarding and such a privilege to have had the opportunity to meet and connect with hundreds of families, while also welcoming back returning families year after year! I love being able to watch my [client] families grow, and am truly honoured each time I am given the opportunity to help document special memories for my clients.
